Testing Week

Next week is Testing Week at EDX CrossFit.  We do this every quarter at our gym to give members the opportunity to test their fitness and tangibly see their progress.

If this is your first time testing: It’s an exciting time to see what you’re capable of and maybe doing something you didn’t even know you could do!

If you’ve done a testing week before: Get ready to see how much progress you’ve made in the past few months!

Here’s a few tips from our Coaches to help ensure you get the most out of the experience;

  1. Show Up! Aim to come in 5 times next week so that you can get a full picture of where you’re at and perhaps how far you’ve come. That may be a little more than you’re used to, but hey… it’s only 1 week.
  2. Be Coachable. Your coaches have your best interest in mind. When you’re seeking to push your limits, there’s a strategy involved that will help you get there. Your coach is happy to share this with you, but it is ultimately up to you to listen and apply what your coach is saying.
  3. Record your Scores. Even if you don’t typically record your workouts, using your Zenplanner app to record your scores for this week only will help you know how to progress in the next training cycle.
